Introduction

Pinpoint Technologies LLC ("Pinpoint", "we", "us") operates the Pinpoint platform at testwithpinpoint.com. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

What Data We Collect

When you create an account or use our services, we may collect:

  • Account information such as your name, email address, and organization details
  • Usage data including page views, feature interactions, and session duration
  • Technical data such as device type, browser version, and IP address
  • Content you upload or submit through the platform, including QA requests and reports

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Pinpoint platform
  • To process transactions and send billing notifications
  • To communicate with you about your account, service updates, and support requests
  • To analyze usage patterns and improve our product experience
  • To comply with legal obligations

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the platform and understand how visitors interact with our marketing site. These include:

  • Essential cookies required for authentication and core functionality
  • Analytics cookies that help us understand usage patterns (only with your consent)

You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings at any time.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with trusted service providers who assist in operating our platform (such as hosting, payment processing, and analytics). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.

Source Code and Intellectual Property

Certain Pinpoint plans include optional source code access, which enables our QA specialists to write automated tests, identify edge cases through code review, and discover workflows that may not be visible from the user interface alone. Source code access is never required to use our services.

When you grant source code access, we apply strict safeguards to protect your intellectual property:

  • All employees and contractors sign non-disclosure agreements before accessing any customer materials
  • Every team member undergoes a background check prior to employment
  • Source code and related data are encrypted both in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256)
  • All equipment is secured within our office environment with full-disk encryption on every device
  • Access to customer repositories is limited to authorized personnel assigned to your project

We are actively pursuing SOC 2 Type II compliance to further validate our security controls.

Ownership and No-Derivative-Works

You retain full ownership of all source code, intellectual property, and proprietary materials you provide to Pinpoint. We will never use your code, algorithms, or trade secrets for internal product development, model training, resale, or any purpose unrelated to delivering our QA services to you. All derivative works produced during testing, such as automated test scripts, are created solely for your benefit and remain your property.

Code Retention and Deletion

We retain access to your source code only for the duration of your active subscription. Upon cancellation or termination, all local copies, repository access, and cached artifacts are revoked and permanently deleted within 30 days. You may request immediate deletion at any time by contacting us, and we will confirm removal in writing once the process is complete.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 90 days, unless retention is required by law.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data
  • Object to or restrict the processing of your data
  • Request a portable copy of your data
  • Withdraw consent for optional data processing

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information below.
